Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Warehouse Manager to join our team at My Roofing Supply. This role involves overseeing resource management, mobile equipment management, labor management, and inventory control for roofing materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to maintain inventory levels within established minimum and maximum thresholds. Spanish-speaking and roofing industry knowledge are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resource Management:
    • Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources within the warehouse, ensuring optimal efficiency and productivity.
    • Develop and implement strategies for resource optimization and cost reduction.
  • Mobile Equipment Management:
    • Manage and maintain all mobile equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and complies with safety regulations.
    • Coordinate regular maintenance and inspections to prevent downtime and ensure the safety of all warehouse personnel.
  • Labor Management:
    • Supervise and manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and high performance.
  • Inventory Control and Purchasing:
    • Monitor inventory levels of roofing materials, ensuring they remain within the established minimum and maximum thresholds.
    • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
    • Coordinate purchasing activities to maintain optimal inventory levels, negotiating with suppliers for best pricing and terms.
  • Attention to Detail and Safety:
    • Ensure all warehouse operations comply with safety standards and best practices.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency in all warehouse activities.
  • Communication and Coordination:
    • Maintain clear and effective communication with suppliers, internal departments, and warehouse staff.
    • Coordinate with the sales team to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
    • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on warehouse operations, inventory levels, and resource utilization.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in warehouse management or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Spanish-speaking preferred.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and other relevant technologies.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of warehouse staff.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of roofing materials and manufacturing processes is preferred.
